Santa's Suit

Stampin' Up!® brings out some sets that are just really fun to play with.  I have had Santa's Suit for awhile now but have only just brought it out to try.

It's a two step stamp set where you stamp the black outline first, then the fill in colour using another stamp - surprisingly easy to line up.

My Stamp Club ladies receive a little extra something in their orders in the form of a gift.  This month it came in these bags.

I had prestamped a few projects using Santa's Suit...

The sentiments are very cute as are all the little pieces of Santa clothing.

How cute are these pegs?  Would you believe there's a framelit to cut these out?

My card is a CASE from Erica Cerwin who has the most beautiful designs.

My Stamp Club ladies enjoy a month as hostess where they receive the hostess benefits from everyone's combined orders.  I have a new club starting up in January!  If you want to be on the list, email me at wheatonanna@hotmail.com and I will add your name.

If you are interested in the Santa's Suit you can phone (07 55 765 469) or email (wheatonanna@hotmail.com ) me for help.

Birthday Craft Ideas

My boy is 16!!

I can't believe how quickly that happened!!  Of course, I had to give him a hand made card. Let me show how Stampin' Up! helped celebrate Zac's birthday.

Zac's card is made using three of the In Colors - Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst.  This card was quick to put together using the Large Numbers Framelits.

These Framelits are the perfect size for card fronts and are easy to cut out using the Big Shot.  They are a fantastic investment at $54 because they can be used to individualise birthday and anniversary cards for years!  They are such a popular item!

If you find this type of die cut fiddly to adhere, the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets are a perfect extra.  They have a peel off backing, and adhere to your card stock then another backing can be peeled off once the shape is cut off.  Adhering the numbers is a cinch once you have used these sheets.

The other crafty touch to Zac's birthday presents was this little gift card holder.  He requested a record player for his present and was probably expecting a bigger one than this!

We wanted him to have a choice in the type/style of record player so I made a gift card holder using the Mini Pizza Boxes.
.

A little Wink of Stella helped add some shine to the record.

Inside was a mini record sleeve....

And the record was...

I love these Mini Pizza Boxes.  They are, as the name suggests, 'mini' which means it's easy to give something special without it having to be a large or expensive gift.

This sample was one of the projects we made at my catalogue launch.  Wouldn't this cute box with a chocolate and a tea bag make someone's day??

If you are interested in crafting I can come to your place and run a party or a class for you and a group of friends.  It's a great way to relax and mingle while using the creative side of your brain to create cute projects.

Fabulous Christmas Charity Day

In Saturday we had a super successful stamping day.  Our Christmas Charity Workshop is an annual event which raises money for the Gold Coast University Hospital, John Flynn Hospital and Gold Coast Private Hospital.

Our guests made a  variety of projects using the Hearts Come Home stamp set.

Our welcome table held everyone's bags with their kits inside.

We had a fantastic display of cards and 3D items to inspire everyone for Christmas!

Stampin' Up! donate a box of goodies for our raffle.  This takes our fundraising total through the roof!  Caroline did a great job setting these out.  The white board was a perfect back drop.

Caroline is pictured with my hubby who sold raffle tickets, along with my son.  Blake and Zac also help set up all the tables and chairs for me!

And we were off and racing!  That's me at my table with my ladies!

Don't mess with Angela and her brayer!

Jenny in deep concentration!

The best part of the day is that people have a chance to get together and craft...

The event is held at Nadene's church.  They are so wonderful in helping us and giving is the space for free.

Jennifer was able to bring along her mum Frances.

The kitchen was run by Marg and Dawn.  Nanna Marg is undergoing chemo AND able to prepare our lunches!

Thanks Angela for organising some flowers for me at the end!  She is my FIXER, RIGHT HAND LADY and everything in between!  She is a no nonsense team member who thinks for me when my brain is full and gets stuck in to get things DONE!  I missed the opportunity to get a photo of her vacuuming at the end!

All up we raised $1166.

This will be used for
  • maintaining our footprint card boxes at Gold Coast University Hospital, John Flynn Hospital and Gold Coast Private Hospital.
  • maintaining our craft kit boxes at John Flynn Hospital and hopefully expanding this program
  • contributing to Gold Coast University Hospital's Children's Memory Day which will be held on November 18th 2017.  Our contribution will help with catering for this event.
  • mother/baby books at John Flynn - this is a new project that we have been asked to help with!  I have made two for a fast track request but we will be having a working bee to make more some time soon.

I will keep you posted with pics and receipts of where your generous donations are going.

Thanks again to everyone who helped to prepare and run this event.  It really is a team effort!

Thanks for stopping by!  Pics of the projects to come!
