Putting the 'Art' in Party

I have a customer order for a party banner.

She loved the Moonlight DSP and its co-ordinating colours so this was my interpretation:

The letters were done on my Scan n Cut machine then Stampin' Up! products did the rest.
  • Each flag is made using Lost Lagoon cardstock and Moonlight DSP which comes in one of our 48 sheet paper stacks - great for small projects and card making.
  • Each letter is framed by a circle of Silver Glimmer Paper for party sparkle.
  • The banners are held together with Silver Baker's Twine which also trails between each banner dangling a star or two.
  • I cut out my stars with retired star punches but the Star Framelits are on my wish list for a greater variety of sizes!
  • I love to back my glimmer paper with Transfer Adhesive Sheets which can peel of the cut shape like sticker backing - so easy to use.
  • A little Lost Lagoon ribbon between each banner adds the finishing touch.

Here are a few close ups

Coffee in a Suit

It's that time of year:  the Father's Day stall at school.

If you have followed my blog for awhile you'll know I try to make items for the lower end of the price range; for the kids with 50c or $1.

I grabbed these coffee sachets while they were on special and dressed them up by making 'suit' boxes.

They were quick, fun and easy and look really cute.  I think they will be a hit.

I thought I might try a casual version with Hawaiian shirt and a pocket.  I'll keep you posted.

Traveler

If you like the Vintage style and old world images, Traveler is a great set.

It includes 6 images which are perfect for scrapbooking and masculine cards.

This card was inspired by a US demonstrator called Kaye Kalthoff.

  • It was very overcast when I took the photos so it's hard to see the image stamped on the card base - a suitcase stamped in Blackberry Bliss....on Blackberry Bliss.
  • The picture, stamped on Whisper White, is held in place with washi tape.
  • The inside is stamped with another image from Traveler.

And here's another version...

Work of Art - cute set

Work of Art is super versatile and one of my favourite sets from the new catalogue.

This set of notelets is inspired by some samples from a Stampin' Up! training video.  They were super quick to put together using our notecard sets and the new In Colors.

The co-ordinating ribbons add to the overall effect of each card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Supplies are listed below.
