In our most recent class, it was all about the pizza. Well..the pizza box anyway. And a smaller version of it. Made especially for dads for Father's Day.
Our pizza box was 10cm by 10 cm. Do you like the top? Would you believe it's gutter flashing?
I bought a roll of it at Bunnings, cut out squares with scissors and ran them through the embossing folder (in this case, a non SU!) The results are spectacular. This would be great on a card front too. Inside we added an insert for a gift card and...surprise, surprise....the old Aldi chocolates fit perfectly.
Yesterday I travelled up to Cleveland to run a "Christmas in Jul AUGUST" Stamp-a-Stack for my sister and her friends. Six ladies stayed on afterwards to make Christmas Cards for our Australian soldiers. All up they made a total of 70 cards! Add these to a bunch my ladies made in July and two bags full sent from Perth by the mum of one of my team (thanks Jessica's mum!!) and we have a total of 322 cards!
We have achieved a magnificent end total, easily surpassing last year's total of 200 cards!
I spent some time this morning tucking envelopes into each card. Thanks also to the ladies who donated money to pay for these envelopes.
My envelope supply has run out, so have ordered more. As soon as they come I'll give the remaining cards their envelopes and sort the cards into packs of ten to send off on behalf of the 'Lorikeet Stampers.'
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this wonderful cause in some way. It has been lovely that everyone has been so willing to help.
I have been having a play with a new stamp set, the new In Colors and the new ink pads. Stampin' Up! is bringing out a firm foam stamp pad which great for solid image stamps. The new catalogue has plenty of beautiful solid image stamps and the ink pads really are different to use.
This is a close up of Midnight Muse. See how solid the colour is?
And now for the family...
Firstly, Gumball Green. I have a feeling this one will be popular for Christmas.
Next Summer Starfruit...
And lastly, Primrose Petals...
And a happy snap of the whole family...
The stamp set is called Betsy's Blossoms, available September 1st. The Thankyou is from Curly Cute, available now!
At the same as saying good-bye to the retiring 'stuff' we'll soon be saying hello to lots of gorgeous new stamp sets, papers and accessories. As a demonstrator, I get to have a play a month early.
Here's a sneek peek of one of the DSPs coming our way. I think I like it as much as the old Jolly Holiday, the way you can mix all the patterns together. In fact, I have made this exact design with Jolly Holiday DSP.
Loving getting into the Christmas spirit by getting my cards organised!! It will be here before we know it!
This paper is called Be of Good Cheer and it's just one of the many Christmas papers to chooses from in our Annual Catalogue AND our Holiday Catalogue, both coming out in September!
Keep checking in for more sneak peeks of the new and goodbyes to the old.

The first time I had a Stampin' Up! catalogue in my hands, this is the first set that caught my eye. Very soon after, most of the other sets did too!!!! Loads of Love is one of the sets that is retiring at the end of this month. This is a card I blogged way back, a CASE from a Teneale Williams design. I have to say that the window is not my clever idea - that's Teneale's too. I marvel at all the clever things she does.
Keep in mind that once the end of August arrives, these stamp sets will no longer be available. If you wish to purchase this set or any others please contact me. All sets are available while stocks last,, or until the end of the month.
Our colours aren't retiring but our ink pads are! Our current stye of ink pad is being replaced by a new firm foam stamp pad. The colours remain the same. That means that throughout August you can purchase the retiring style of ink pad at 25% off!
If you are wanting to build up your colour range at a discounted price, our Classic Stampin' Pads are reduced from $11.95 to $8.96. In every colour!
Stampin' Up! has released its list of retiring stamp sets and accessories, many of which are reduced! If you have a long wish list, or even a short one, it's worth having a look. Click on the links below to see what we are farewelling!
